Product Designer (Mid–Senior) -  AI-Powered Legal Technology

A fast-growing LegalTech AI business is looking for mid-to-senior Product Designers to join its existing design function, in helping transform how organisations manage contracts, legal processes and complex business workflows.

You will work as part of an embedded product team alongside Product Managers and Engineers with ownership of the end-to-end product design process, from understanding user problems and conducting discovery through to designing, testing, delivering and improving solutions.

The initial focus will be improving information architecture, simplifying complex workflows and designing intuitive, high-quality user experiences around AI-enabled functionality.

You'll have the opportunity to influence how sophisticated AI technology is experienced by users, take ownership of meaningful product challenges and make a measurable impact on the product.

As a strong Product Designer you will be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent product discovery and problem-framing skills, with experience conducting user interviews, workflow mapping, research and translating complex or ambiguous requirements into clear solutions.

• Strong interaction and UI design capabilities, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to create intuitive, polished product experiences.

• Information architecture and complex workflow design experience, including simplifying challenging user journeys and organising complex information.

• End-to-end product design experience, including wireframing, prototyping, usability testing and iteration, with strong Figma skills.

• Proactive problem-solving and independent thinking, with the confidence to take ownership, ask the right questions and move work forward without needing detailed instructions.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders, while constructively challenging ideas and remaining open to feedback.

• Commercial and technical awareness, understanding how to balance design decisions with business objectives, engineering constraints and delivery priorities.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating your design thinking, how you've approached complex problems, responded to feedback and delivered meaningful improvements.
  
  

Beneficial and desirable experience includes: 

• Experience designing B2B SaaS, enterprise software or other complex digital products.

• Experience working with AI-enabled products, AI-assisted workflows, conversational interfaces or chat-based functionality.

• Exposure to LegalTech, contract management, document management or workflow automation platforms.

• Experience working in startups or scale-ups where priorities can change quickly and designers need to be adaptable.

• An understanding of how design decisions influence measurable outcomes, such as product adoption, usability, operational efficiency or commercial performance.
