Job Description

Legal Project Executives are being sought to join the Legal Operations and Project Management team within a leading international law firm.

These Legal Project Executives will support lawyers and clients in delivering legal work more effectively and efficiently, working across live client matters, internal projects and wider firm initiatives, and is a great opportunity for someone with project support experience who wants to build their career within Legal Project Management, gaining exposure to live legal matters, commercial and financial management, process improvement and LegalTech within a leading international law firm.

The role will be based 3 days/week in London and is paying £45,000 - £51,000 with bonus and benefits.

As the Legal Project Executive, you will be:

  • Supporting the planning, tracking and delivery of client matters and internal projects using Legal Project Management approaches.
  • Tracking timelines, risks, dependencies, actions and deliverables to help keep matters and projects moving.
  • Working closely with lawyers, Legal Operations, business services teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting budget tracking, time recording, performance data and financial reporting to help improve cost control.
  • Producing clear project updates, reports and data to support better decision-making.
  • Facilitating meetings, tracking actions and ensuring responsibilities are clearly recorded and followed up.
  • Supporting process mapping and identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and consistency of legal service delivery.
  • Helping teams use appropriate project management tools and supporting the adoption of legal technology where relevant.

 As a Legal Project Executive, you will have experience of:

  • 2-3 years' experience supporting projects or similar work, ideally within a law firm, although other professional services environments will be considered.
  • Managing multiple tasks, projects or priorities simultaneously.
  • Working confidently with a range of stakeholders and adapting your communication style to different audiences.
  • Using Excel and PowerPoint to support project tracking, reporting and analysis.
  • Using project management, process mapping or workflow tools.
  • Supporting change, process improvement or operational improvement initiatives.
  • Taking a proactive and practical approach to solving problems and keeping projects moving.
  • An interest in Legal Project Management, Legal Operations and improving how legal services are delivered.
